Our worship is both timeless and welcoming. Rooted in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England, it combines beauty, prayer, and reverence with a warm sense of community. Whether you are new to church or a lifelong Christian, you will find a place here to encounter God and grow in faith.
09:30 – St Matthew’s
11:00 – St Mary’s
A joyful and reverent service at the heart of our parish life. We gather around Scripture, prayer, and the sharing of Holy Communion, with uplifting music and a warm welcome for all.
18:30 – St Matthew’s
A beautiful and reflective service of sung Evening Prayer, using the timeless language of the Church, followed by Benediction — a peaceful moment of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.
Why do we call it "Mass"? The word comes from the Latin phrase “Ite, missa est” – “Go, you are sent.” It reminds us that worship is not just something we attend, but a sending out into the world to live and share Christ’s love.
Evensong is a traditional service of evening prayer, sung with psalms, canticles, and scripture readings. It is a peaceful way to close the day in worship.
Benediction is a short, beautiful time of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, ending with a blessing given with the consecrated host.

Friday: 19:00 – Votive Mass
Votive Masses are special Masses offered for a particular intention or devotion, focusing on key aspects of our faith:
We celebrate great feasts like Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost with solemn liturgy, music, and joyful community gatherings.
Join us for outdoor processions, Benediction, and a joyful celebration of Christ’s presence in the Eucharist.
We honour our patron saints with special Masses, music, and parish fellowship events each year.
Having children at our Masses is a joy!
Mass is central to our shared life together. No matter how squirmy, children are welcome participants at Mass. By celebrating the Mass with the community, children come to know themselves as the full members of the body of Christ that they are. Children, like the community, are shaped by the prayers of the Mass.
Parents may consider helping their little ones follow along and encourage them to sing — no matter the words or sounds they offer joyfully. For parents getting used to having their little ones with them at prayer, we offer a parent and children corner at the back of the St Cecilia Chapel in St Matthew's and in the North Aisle at St Mary's.
